BOULOGNE

2014

House steeped in history, in a neoclassical style with a facade listed as an historic monument in France. Former home of Edith Piaf. The entrance was vaulted and gave the impression of a mausoleum. There was a need for consistency between the exterior architecture and the massing interior which included small spaces. Opening of side walls to let in light. Transparent doors instead of wooden doors. Reorganization of spaces and contemporary spirit with the use of materials such as marble, Versailles parquet and light wood.
